Create a datasource using iReport IDE

       Go to the file menu and click on the NEW menu. Then below window is appearing in my case

         

          

    

         Select the Blank A4 report template and click on the Launch Report Wizard button in the bottom of the window. Then give the meaning full name for the report and give the location where you want to save the report.

         

      In the Next window if you have the created data source select that. If don’t have click on the NEW button.

         

          

        

For the PostgreSQL Database, want to select the “Database JDBC connection” data source type. Then give the meaning full name for the data source.

Below mention details are the login credentials for the PostgreSQL database. This has been installed to the Linux box and iReport IDE has been installed to the windows 7 box.

·         PostgreSQL Database server name and port  :- jdbc:postgresql://10.2.182.236:5432/sugarcrm

·         JDBC Driver                                                           :- PostgreSQL (org.postgresql.Driver)

·         Database name                                                     :- sugarcrm

·         DB User name                                                       :- pgdev

·         DB Password                                                         :- pgdev
