Power BI Desktop Connect with MySql Database.

In this tutorial, I am going to explain How to connect to Mysql database server through Power BI.

Step 1:- Open the Power BI Desktop and select the Get data. Then select Database and select Mysql Database.



 Since, We have not install the connector, It will give the below error.

Step 2:- So you can downalod Mysql Connector for Power BI from the below link.

https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/net/



Step3:- Once you install Click on the get data and select database type as Mysql. Then give the server , database details. If you want you can give the select queries.
 

 Once you click on OK button, It will create the relevant columns on the field section in the Power Bi desktop.

 

Then you can create visualization based on the query you generated.

 

Based on the above query created Customer wise payment amount bar chart.
