Power Automate (Office 365) - How to Sync Office Forms data with MS Team's Excel sheet.

In this post, I am going to explain how to create simple Power Automate job.


Firstly, We have create Office form in O365 and once submit the data from this form, it will automatically sync with MS Teams Excel sheet. 

Step 1:- Create a Simple report to include below mentioned details.

Form Name :- Simple Office form for Power Automation

Fields:- 

Date

NameJob Job details

Then you have to create excel file and upload into MS Teams. as below.

 


Then, go to the Office 365 home page (https://www.office.com/apps?auth=2) and select the Power Automation component to create  Power Automation.


Once you click on this, it will load below screen.

Click on the '+ Create' to create new automation and it will appear as below.


Then, Select the Automated flow.

Once you click on that, it will ask the Flow name and you have to give the Flows trigger (in our case flow trigger is 'When a new response is submitted' ). Then click on the create button.

You will have below screen as below.


In the Next step, Select the Form which we created earlier by click on the drop down.


Click on the menu '. . .' and select the setting menu. disable the split on option as below.

    

Click Done. Then click on the '+ New Step' to create new step.and select control menu.

Then select 'Apply to each'  as below. select the 'List of response notification Item' from the Dynamic content as below.

Once you select that option, it will display as below.


Then, Select the 'Get response details'  and select the 'Response ID' doe the response ID as below.

 

Then, Click on Add an action' menu and select 'Excel Online (Business)' to link with excel sheet which we created earlier in MS team.

select the action as 'Add a row into a table'

Then select Location, Document Library, File and Table as below.

Now, You have developed the Power Automation and the you have to Test. To test select test button in the right top corner  as below.

Then, you can insert data as below and submit.

Then, You can see automation has executed successfully.

Once you open the Excel file On teams, You can view the inserted data from the MS forms
